The first generation of DirectX 11 graphics cards from AMD could continue the tradition of the last series and called the Radeon HD 5800. Following the passed outline, the company would have intention to introduce two cards, a call 5870 Radeon HD and a Radeon HD 5850. The exact specifications - except some rumors of recent months - are not known. Both cards will have 1 GB of GDDR5 memory and ATI Eyefinity to support up to three displays.

This explains the abundance of ports seen on a sample photographed in some days before, whose images are available here. The sample in question, however, was defined by all Juniper, while according to latest reports, the code name for the HD 5800 family is Cypress. Probably Juniper identifies a slightly lower end model.

Cypress the two boards should have an aggressive market price, about $ 299, for commercial availability in October (and presentation in September). In November, in addition, there may be room for the classic dual-GPU solution, code-named "Hemlock".
